Default Sea Pump Disaster - Opinions Needed

During routine impeller replacement I managed to bounce one of my sea pumps off the floor, bending the shaft (already changed the pulley ). After some research I discovered that my pumps are off a 1975/6 280 TRS.

I am left with several options and would like to gather opinions to help form my decision. My hydraulic steering pump is driven off one of the sea pumps. Engines are 540 CI N/A tall deck EFI, 625 Hp.

Option One - Spend Money
Buy a replacement 280 TRS pump housing assembly. Replacing the shaft alone is a hassle and I want to go boating this weekend.

Option Two - Spend More Money
Buy two housings. The pump that isn't broke is still 30 years old and looking for an exuse to die at an inopportune moment.

Option Three - Spend Lots of Money
Replace the pumps with something newer (Eickert / crank mount / etc) because it is "better" or easier to change impellers.

Thoughts anyone?

Get the highest quality replacements you can afford. Like the old Fram ad said " you can pay me now, or pay me later". In my experience paying now allways seem to be cheaper in the long run.

What he said. The brass Jabsco is all I use. West Marine has them.
Then replace impellers every other year.

I ordered them from West Marine after researching the Jabsco web site and Mercruiser catalog to make sure I ordered the right ones.
