Default Warning Light Stays On

After start up warning light stays on.All guages read normal.Disconnected all the wires from the sending units ,but the light still stays on .Any help?

On older boats the tan/blue alarm wire is connected to 1/low oil pressure switch 2/high water temp switch 3/drive oil reservoir.

the alarm will sound if any one of these switches closes and makes ground.

Thanks ,sounds to me like if the switch goes to ground the alarm goes on.So if i have all three wires are disconnected and the alarm still goes on ,one of these wires must be grounding somewhere! I'll do somemore looking.

Make sure you are disconnecting the tan wire with the thin blue stripe. Also look for corrosion in the big main harness plug to the engine.
