Default Prop pitch reduction for Lake Tahoe

I plan to go to Lake Tahoe later this summer. My boat is a Formula 382 w/ HP 500 EFI's. The boat runs 28P bravo 1 props or 26P Maximus props near 5200 RPM.

Anyone have any experience with how much I might have to reduce prop pitch when going to Lake Tahoe? Tahoe is over 6000 feet elevation.

Thanks,
Garrett

4" if you want to keep the same rpms.
Unfortunately I have a lot of experience in altitude stuff
We boat from 600' to 6400' out here in the Rockies.

Hi Garrett,

I'm taking my boat to Tahoe next week and leave it for the summer. Do it every year. I have 454 with 470 hp and run 26 pitch bravo 3s @ 5000 rpm's on Folsom and have to drop to 24's on Tahoe and can only turn 4500-4600 rpms up there. I am looking for some 22's Hope that helps.

Ty
