I am leaking gear lube from the reservoir. I currently have the cylinder bottle type, but am thinking of going to the plastic square one. What have others done with the original reservoir when it starts to leak? Thanks for the help.

I know it is twice as much but I would get one of the nice billet ones from Fred @ Trick Marine. It seems like the Merc ones only last a few years before they have to be replaced.

This is one of the ones that Fred offers and it includes a leak proof cap.
