I'm contemplating going with an XR upper so I'm not to have more problems.

If your not running a ton of power the new style bravo's with thicker floors in the gears seem to be pretty good for longevity,I think it was 2002 when they went to them. I'm running alot of power in front of a max worxs drive, when I only had 700 or so hp they lasted pretty well in my 272,now that its cranked up over 900 hp my lower gears last about 40-50 hours. Your running a gen 6 502 mpi,a good bravo should last you though, if you really are abusing it step up to a xr but as far as a aftermarket drive I don't see the need in your case, besides, you'll have 10 g's plus wrapped up in it,Smitty

OK sounds great. Ill leave it alone. My need to go faster is only really going to result in a bigger boat.
thanx again,
Curt
