Default No oil pressure @ idle

I recently started having a problem with the port engine's oil pressure. It runs about 10 psi lower than the starboard engine. After running hard it drops to 0 psi at idle. I already eliminated the sender and the gauge as the culprit by installing a mechanical gauge. Are there any quick tests I can do before I have to yank the motor?

That's pretty much what I figured. How can I tell if the bearings or the pump are bad?

Chisel open the oil filter and look between the pleats for the flakes of death.

OK,
I pulled the oil filter and I can see bronze or brass particles in the oil. I've already started to pull the motor. Thank you GOODT and BT for helping me to isolate the problem
