Sorry to see you are going through all this chit Rich...just seems to be the case around boats for most people

It's probably some meaningless little issue that you will eventually find. I would keep pestering the bravo shop about the drives. If they won't help you at all I would "let everyone know" how great their customer support is/isn't

Good luck. If you just need a weekend of drinks and no worries...you know where Murray is. y'all are always welcome. We will even have some MOHETA's waiting

You will lose several mph when going from the 1.5 to the 1.3 ratio. If you test with XR's at 1.35 ratio you will see a big speed difference.

There is nothing you can do about it. It's simply a matter of friction. I wish Dean would redesign the upper gears to give us a 1.5 ratio. He says it's not cost effective for him to have the gears made at this point.

How many prop sizes would you have to go up with the 1.5?

I would figure 4-6 depending on power.Mine was 6 Also I was told that on a bravo one 4 blade prop the 30 pitch was the most efficient pitch ,that anything above was not as efficient. So the TQ multiple's might out weigh the prop efficiency? Might? I know on my Scarab the 1.50 was faster. also Joe at Hustler said on the 388 that the 1.50 was faster that a 1.36 in stock form 500efi's.

I'm at a 26 now, so a 30 would be the same final speed at 1.5 ratio. I would most likely need a 32 to account for the added speed. I'd like to try it, but it's not in my hands. Help us out Dean.

Same ratio?

What lowers did you have verses what he's sending?

Thats the only way you will make up some mph with the 1.3 ratio. I hope your right. If that dosen't help its not going to happen.
