Re: WOT problem
Took my boat out this saturday after Palmer power said it was fixed thursday. The boat is still doing the same thing. I had a person ride with me and check fuel pressure under load WOT runs and the fuel pressure will drop from 40? lbs to 26lbs after about 5 secs of WOT running. They supposedly did a sea run before I picked it up and said it was repaired. They replaced the high pressure side of pump assembly and fuel filter after I just replaced it before taking it to them. I am so f****ING pissed. $900.00 for nothing.
Can anyone reccomend a mechanic in houston area that has software to log on to volvo penta motors and diagnose this problem.
This really blows.
Thanks fellas.

Re: WOT problem
The fuel pressure drops because one link in the fuel delivery chain fails. Starting in the tank end it could be dirt in the fuel pick up, or that the anti siphon valve sticks. Those can be checked by trying to run off a separate tank. Those are the most likely causes since you have allready changed the pump and filter. Good luck.
