I assume you are running a larger oil cooler for this setup. They make oil thermostats to control the oil to 210* which is ideal.

You may want to discuss the WP issue with Jim. The pressure is directed more at eliminating damaging steam pockets rather than keeping it cooler. Jim will steer correctly.

Where can you purchase a 140*F engine cooling water thermostat for a 2005 Merc 496?
