I hadn't noticed that it was so narrow. It looked huge in person. A longer I beam on the top would solve that problem pretty quickly and inexpensively though.

excursion can you give us the measurements and specs on that lift?

Sure when I go to the boat this weekend will take down all the measurements and get them too you.

Mine is a little over kill but did not ever want too not be able to lift something, or go around it. Mine is 11' wide

I buddy of mine bought the one from Harbor Freight. He replaced the top beam with something that works for most boats. It's pretty slick! I don't the details of the top beam.
