Default Raylar BCK-103 Kit Installation

I am purchasing the Raylar 103 Kit. Top end kit only, I am keeping the crank, rods and pistons. I am a pretty skilled and detailed mechanic, however I am no Merc tech.

Has anyone installed this kit by yourself?
What are the most difficult parts of the install?
Are there any pitfalls to avoid?

I guess I feel comfortable with most of the install, it seems pretty logical and straight forward. However my fears are not knowing all the small "tricks of the trade" if you will that a seasoned engine builder or a good Merc tech would know.

Go it alone and follow Raylar's installation guide and take it slow and enjoy it -or- take it to my really seasoned Merc tech here in Seattle and pay for 20hrs+ of labor??

Any thoughts or input would be really appreciated, thanks guys.
