HELP!!!

I can't get the cable to pull out as the power steering is mounted behind my starboard motor and I don't have enough room to pull the cable out.

The only thing holding this thing on is the part #15. #15 looks like it's held on by some strap to what they call the "pressure relieve valve". Can I pull that strap off and pull of part #15? I don't see any other way around this.

I also took off the rotary unit behind the dash and what a mistake that was, I don't know how they ever got the thing together in the first place, any tips on how to wind the cable around with that plastic sleeve and put it back together.

What a mess this is turning out to be!!!!! Really could use some major help on this job!!!

Thanks everyone!

Sorry not to hijack your thread. I also have play in part #15 on my F357. Does anyone know of a way to fix this or is it normal.

from the drawing it looks like part 18 that has a couple nuts and the tube slides out of the transom assembly. I have TRS and have done it, I'll look at mine tommorow and tell you how I did it.
