The MSD box has a REV limited built into it that can be set with different chips where ever you want it.

I highly doubt you will find any 18 year old MSD ditributors out there. I would buy a new TB IV distributor($250) for less than an MSD and run a Crane Box with built in curves and built in adjustable rev limiter.

I have used the crane HI-6M for two years now - the curves are for marine applications and there is enough to choose from - Box also has programable rve settings built in - It is unususal but you will have to take Merc distributor out and re-index the shutter wheel - it is not hard to do but it has to be canged - takes about 15 minutes to redrill and reset the unit - Crane SUCKS when it comes to support on other features such as knock sensors - Just got a back up unit last night - Summit
