Who Re Grinds Cams
 

This is a bit off topic but I want to have my cams in 05 mustang re ground. I not looking for new cams, I want to regrind my existing ones while the car sits over the winter. I had a few custom cams made for my street cars in the past but I can’t remember who made them. Anyone have suggestions

They have a separate company that does regrinds. I have one in my 454 rebuild and like it.

I think most of the cam mfg will regrind. I know Comp Cam will regrind ~$115 ea. Call them.

I sent mine to Crower, they did a nice job.

if you regrind yours,won't you need new lash caps? I personally would buy new.vt,comp,crower all have nice cams at a reasonable price for your car.vt stage one N/A does not require a custom tune

BLKHORSE, thanks for the advise, I am looking at the comp cams now. The car is set up as a road car not a drag car. I generaly keep the rpm's up high but I dont want to make the mistake and installl a drag racing cam. I'm not sure what I am looking for in a cam I can get out of a re grind. If I am going to change the cams I'm looking to get as much out of it as possible, looking at a stage 2 or larger. By summer there will be about every upgrade available to that cars suspension , drive train and motor, aside from a supercharger. I would like 450 HP N.A and around 600 with NOS.
