Default Polished parts "blueing"

I'm looking at getting a polished intake and have heard that they will "blue" over time from heat. any input? Thanks.

The only blueing I've seen has been on exhaust parts. They get a lot hotter!
BTW, got a chrome plated intake on my 68 vette. No discoloration after 3 years.
