I recently bought a 1997 Scarab SCS with a 502mag mpi and is rated at 415 prop shaft hp with only 80 hours on it.The outdrive is a Bravo one xr with 1.5 gear ratio spinning a Bravo One 3 blade 25 pitch prop.I'll be using the boat in Colorado which is 5280 above sea level.It will be a couple months before I can get the boat out for the first time as the lakes are still frozen....

What's your thoughts on top speed guys and perhaps you may also have some ideas to squeeze every bit of hp out of it.Thanks...

Not sure how the 5280 above sea level will efect this, but I would guess somewhere around 65 to 68mhp top speed.

I had a 1996 22ft Scarab with a 502MPI. It ran low 70's most of the time. Best of 74 GPS. Ran a labbed 25 mirage plus prop. Think you might run a little slower at that elevation.
