Default A few questions

I have been refreshing my 540 this year again and things are going well. found one small oil leak and in have to find a small water leak in the boat but looking forwrd to another kick azz season boating a $3xx plus a gallon . But i have two questions i have a friend that is looking at a deck boat with a OMc drive in it and it is a 190 hp package with a 302 ford SB. how is the drive are they fairly dependable are they easy to work on. it is mid seventies and seems to work well but what are the major design issues and how is parts availability. Maybe **** T could chime in here. he had guided me through my bravo one outdrive and it is three seasons behind 700 hp and still going strong. i also have a friend witha old 73 Penyan with a 360 CI 260hp crystler motor in it an he popped a valve spring. both of these powerplants are stock and i need info on suggested spring pressure on a 73 crysler hydraulic lifter motor.
