Default Bravo outdrive / transom copatibility

I need a "new" outdrive. What year out drives will fit a 1988 transom. I know that eg the outdrive oil monitoring bottle came in the 90s. Will that cause a problem?

all years will fit. the connection for the oil lube monitor just will not be used if you don't have an oil lube bottle in the boat.
