Ok before you all grill me this isn't my set up but think it should move out well, be a neat duck boat. My friend has a 24ft sea arc (flat bottom). It currently has a 50 hp on it, but is rated up to a 135. He has a 2000 model yamaha 150, we are thinking about putting on. My ? is what kind of mph could we get out of this set up with a prop and such, I was thinking around 60ish, the boat only weights about 1k lbs... Thanks for any help on this matter guys/gals

Compare the weights of the 135 Hp of the year boat and the 150 Yammy. The 150 is probably to heavy and and may have too much power to weight ratio, making boat porpose or even chine walk. I would go with a 115 Hp motor would be an excellent combo. Once in a while a boat is found running around a lake in circles after the operater is ejected. If you do install the 150 a killswitch and lanyard is an absolute must. BBB
