Default Engine coupler

I have a 502 BBC/ Bravo making about 650 hp and I spun the drive coupler. Is there a hi performane version or will a stock mercruiser be what I need. Where is a good place to purchase one?

what went bad??? the splines or the rubber?????

There is an HD version with a long steel snout. The rubber is still the same.

I don't think the HD coupler will be any stronger in that respect. I think it just uses a longer steel spline. Part # 21 is the HD coupler.
