Default What is the best way to "burp" the hydraulic..

Pump that actuates the cylinders to your engine hatch? Mine operate smoothly and equally. They take the hatch all the way up but when I bring it all the way down, It won't hold down for any longer than 10-15 minutes. then hatch lifts up about .750" after that.

I assume there is air in there. I don't want to open a line an foul up my sanitary bilge so my next bet is to open a line at the pump which is under the dash/console. It will be miserable to get to but not at bothersome to clean up spillage.

I tried to get a pic of the pump but I could not hold the camera still enough for the slow shutter speed needed in the dark. sorry it's blurry.
