Super Job Smitty!!! I don't think anybody works as hard at "the quest" for reliable horsepower as you. Thanks for sharing with all of us. BTW, checked my drive lube and the cryogenically treated gears you did for me are great.

I usually run kendall gt1 20w/50 but we were getting 100-105 psi of oil pressure because we could not get the oil hot enough on the dyno so as soon as I saw we were getting zero blowby coming out of the breathers I put in some mobil 1 10w/30,still had 90 psi wot but picked up over 10 hp N/A with it. Changed oil twice on dyno and cut filter open 3 times,no metal so things are looking good,I'm buying me a filter cutter asap as often as I change oil,it was a cool azz tool,Smitty

It was hard getting the oil much past 100 degrees on the dyno,I usually run 20w/50,we were seeing 100 psi with it so I put 10 qts of 10/30 in my 14 qt pan and 2 qt filter to try to help it warm up quicker and we still saw 90 at 6000 rpm's.I was sorta surprized too because the rods and mains have over .003 clearence, once it gets 220 degrees in the boat it will be MUCH lower,Smitty
