Default Looking to remove Silent Choice from Boat

I'd like to find out if anyone makes or fabricates a blank plate that could be bolted over the existing exhaust outlet that is located below the waterline.

I've had to install muffler inserts to meet the noise requirements down at LOTO and this winter would like to remove the exhaust piping going to the Silent Choice and plumb it straight out.

I have a concern with the possibility of water reversion with the mufflers causing back pressure which could possibly allow water into the engine and with the mufflers they won't be used and are unnecessary.

Is this something that would be commercially available or would it have to be fabricated?

Local machine shop, CMI, Stainless Marine or Nortech could all make these.

Thanks,

I'll check with the ones you listed first. I do have a very good machine shop that does a lot of work for us and I'm sure they could do it, but would have to get them the existing flange in order to have it fabricated... LOL...There a couple hundred miles from the boat, I guess I'm a little lazy at times and was looking for a stock bolt-on piece.

Thanks again for the info.

Merc has the block off plate if you want to remove the Y-pipe.
Removing the Y-pipe will require removing the engines.

I have another idea for you though. How about you just cap the Y-pipe for now. I did it with some rubber pipe caps from home depot. Just an idea until the engines have to come out.

It doesn't take the exhaust thru the prop when its diverted like say a fountain does. It comes off of a "Y" pipe and is plumbed to an exhaust outlet on the side of the hull under the waterline.

This is a little different application. On my original post I have a pic that shows the exhaust outlet it's just to the right of the tabs on the starboard side. I've found a couple of places like Hardin Marine that has a block off plate for when you remove the thru transom exhaust but I'm not exactly sure if its round or elliptical and what the diameter is. I'll have to do a little measuring when I get back down to the lake. I don't really want to glass in such a big hole in the place its at if possible.
