Default 525efi

Hi
we have a 2003 525efi. After we run it the coolant overflow tank is spurting out the cap. We thought it was just overfilled but we removed the coolant twice now to the half tank level and still have the problem. Raw water is getting in. Any idea where to look first?

about 38-40psi at wot. It was running 45-48psi we trimmed down the low water pick up on the hull. We do not use the pick up on the drive. this is a SVL race boat

I talked to Merc about water pressure......35-38 at WOT is the norm and 40 is ok. I run about the same. I'd look at the heat exchanger as well as that should be the only place raw water and coolant are close to each other.

merc told me 38-40 was ok too. heat x is what I have been thinking also. I think I will try to blow some air into the water pick up see if the coolant tank bubles
