the biggest stroker kit available down under will take them out to 408 but when you use a 6.2 conrod the gudgeons go throuh the oil control ring groove and the engine smokes a bit . is the deck height of the american blocks higher or do you use the 400 blocks ???.cheers tassie boy

Hey Tassie Boy, If it make you feel any better my 1984 Nordic with a SBC and aVolvo 280 w/trim was offset to the side over 1/2 and inch also, not sure they were thinking.

well guys i finally bowed to the pressure and purchased a 440hp mercruiser .454 big block chev and trs drive ,has anyone got any views on this combo. cheers tassieboy

thats the first thing i was thinking. never heard of circle track boat racing, but maybe it had super sharp (only left or only right hand) turns that required extreme turning ability?
