Default Port motor hitting 190 and alarm going off!

Port motor on my 2003 29 Outlaw temp climbing SLOWLY and hitting 190 degrees and alarm going off. Sea pump looks good, there are some grooves in the brass housing but impeller looks great. Water flow out the exhaust looks similar to the starboard motor. Thermostat was removed and put in 160 degree water, it opens appx 1/16" and appx 1/4" when temp raised to 180 degrees. Temp was great when running on the hose wednesday nite for oil change. Any ideas??

Thanks Jeff

Have you had an impeller come apart in it lately? If so you need to find all of the pieces in the cooler or hoses. If not the grooves will make it over heat, And there is a place on here that sells a S/S plate kit for the new style pumps. I'm not sure of there name though.?
