After reading several posts about the strain blowers/chargers put on an engine and the drives I have decided to stick with changing the internals for more HP. Any suggestions are welcome. I would like to see around 590-610HP at the prop with the Merc 500's.
Any ideas?????

My combo makes around 630 HP.
AFR 315 (Fully CNC'd) Heads
Crane Cam 168741
1.7 Ratio rockers on the exhaust
1.8 Ratio rockers on the intake
CMI Elbow tops
Crane Hi-6M ignition
1" HVH supersucker carb spacer
Harden Marine 10 quart Oil pans
Harden Marine 620-700 Oil coolers
Stock JE pistons, Rods, Stock Dart 6200 intake manifold, Stock Holley Carb and fuel system.
That should do it...Worked for me.

Hey Dave how you been buddy? I hope all is well in NY. That setup looks pretty close to what I am looking for without having to resort to the blowers. What is a ballpark figure I should expect on getting an engine up to that? I know it's not going to be cheap but in the long run I think I will be happier.
Thanks for the input.
