I'm installing my Dana marine remote oil filter block. I don't know which is the inlet and outlet. Does the oil need to go into the center of the filter, then to the outside? Or vice versa?

Oil goes thru the outside of the filter and then back to the engine thru the center.

Thanks. I had it backwards, but fixed it and got the plumbing routed correctly.

I did it backwards one time. The filter had an anti drainback valve in it and it wouldn't allow a bit of oil past. I also have the bypass plugged. When I primed the engine, the drill would hardly turn. If I had started it, it would've beenjunk in 30 seconds.
