NEVER use Loctite!! I get more engines from other builders in my shop and they Loctite the head studs, main studs, and I have even seen the rod bolts done!! UNREAL! Never use Loctite internally. Even external engine components should have flat and lock washers . Loctite in the wrong hands can really ruin once good parts.

Fasteners are engineered with torque and stretch ratings for a reason.
