Default Mercury Racing 850's

If you have a minute - give me you input on what type of oil you would run on a pair of Merc Racing 850's ... It's time for Spring Maintenance on the NorTech .... just curious.

They're out of warranty - but have approx 30 hrs since the last time they were freshened up @ NorTech.

Do the Dry Sump 6's have serviceable U-Joints in the input shaft?

Thanks

Capt Ross

Amsoil Racing 2000 20-50 would be my first choice.
I campared it to Mobile 1 in one engine and Amsoil in the other. 6000 rpms there was a 20 degree oil temp differance. Changed port side also and temp also dropped.
just my 2

I run Redline synthetic 20-50 in my mercs. Holds excellent pressure even in 120 degree weather.
