Stereo Subwoofer Question
#11
This year they are coming out with a marine sub that will work in an enclosure. The current one they are making now will work free air and it does sound ok in a box. I've done a few in boxes in compartments where I don't have any other way to mount them.

Rockstar, I'm running (2) 12" Kicker free air subs below my rear seat and they sound pretty darn good. I've had car systems with complex boxes that sound better, but for the ease of install and weight savings I'm very pleased.
They pound pretty good - don't take the power of a sealed or ported sub though so be carefull to not overpower....
