Sorry, couldn't resist. As someone else eluded to, cheap, horse power, and boat, just don't belong together. |
have you tried indexing the spark plugs?

Herring = NOT CHEAP :D

Take boat to a professional and give him $1000 per mph that you would like to gain up to 3mph. If you want more, the price per mph gain keeps going up.
Thats about as supercheap as it will get. My advice, don't mess with your engine. If it was built right, its dialed in and was built to last. Changing something that you think is small, might cost you a lot of $$$. |
indexing the plugs?

I was not talking about the boat losing weight, I was talking about the passengers and maybe even the driver.:D

Try a nose cone if you do not have one.

indexing sparkplugs
indexing sparkplugs is a cheap way to gain a few h/p.it involves using indexing washers of diffrent thickness to get the eletrode of the plug to line up w/the intake valve.you want the spark plug looking at the intake to asure proper combustion.ask any old school drag racer and they well tell the speal on how to do.grant you it is a pain in the a&& to do.but it is cheap.
