Sorry, couldn't resist.

As someone else eluded to, cheap, horse power, and boat, just don't belong together.

Take boat to a professional and give him $1000 per mph that you would like to gain up to 3mph. If you want more, the price per mph gain keeps going up.

Thats about as supercheap as it will get.

My advice, don't mess with your engine. If it was built right, its dialed in and was built to last. Changing something that you think is small, might cost you a lot of $$$.

I was not talking about the boat losing weight, I was talking about the passengers and maybe even the driver.

Try a nose cone if you do not have one.

Default indexing sparkplugs

indexing sparkplugs is a cheap way to gain a few h/p.it involves using indexing washers of diffrent thickness to get the eletrode of the plug to line up w/the intake valve.you want the spark plug looking at the intake to asure proper combustion.ask any old school drag racer and they well tell the speal on how to do.grant you it is a pain in the a&& to do.but it is cheap.

Agreed it works in drag racing when you are running a limited class (Stock, Super Stock etc) and a few HP can give you a couple hundredths to maybe even a tenth. However, you need to gain some significant HP to notice a speed gain in a boat.
