Sea water pump upgrade

Can i upgrade to the one piece plastic impeller housing on my 420 trs motors. I currently have the two piece housing (housing with backing plate). Just curious, i'm getting some mixed info on this

yes i did on mine. the new style 1 piece pumps 20% more water.
