Used a donor hose and tank to no avail... Motors would occasionally fire for a second or two and then die.

Checked for spark, and both motors had it.

why is this a three page thread ? as posted above... get a small gas can, a stand alone fuel pump and a fuel pressure gage. isolate the boat fuel system completely hook up your stand alone and fire it up. either it runs properly after all the junk clears out of the injectors, or it doesn't. that tells you where to look. its not rocket science. its a small number of finite components and locations. touch them all. make sure they all work. when youre done it will run fine. you could do the whole thing on both motors in 4 hours. as opposed to shotgunning everything in some random way and never knowing anything.

the boat ran fine before. now it doesn't. its not going to be redesigning the system. its going to be something simple and easy.

People like you is the reason this is a 3 page thread,,,,, if YOU bother to read all the posts you would see that in post 41 he DID use a stand alone tank.

Yea, no rocket science, if theres junk in the injectors it will just clear itself out. no worries

Maybe the horses or zebras took a $hit in your fuel tank baddog

That has been known to happen.

Baddogz,
When you hooked up the spare tank, did you use any of the original fuel system? Bypass everything, and use different hoses and pump if you can. If they run then start adding things back in until they don't.

Haha, more like they pissed in my tank after a night of drinking.

Turns out the water over the tank must have been leaking into the tank...

Siphoned 6 GALLONS (!) out of the tank yesterday, flushed the lines and then she ran like a charm. Had it out all day on Lake Elizabeth in Twin Lakes, WI. Not a big lake, but fun nonetheless!

You guys should have seen the stares. It was like we were in a Lamborghini.

The lake was pretty empty and flat, saw 69 with 8 people in the boat. LOL.

Now the next project is getting a new gasket for the fuel tank sending unit and sealing her up good.

What would you guys recommend for cleaning the clogged drain? My old man suggested 10 to 1 ratio of water to draino.

suggest you do the same , d*ck head. my first sentence says " as posted above" what he DIDN't do was isolate the system complete. the necessary FIRST step in a diagnosis that doesn't rely on voodoo and mythology.

gee... you mean it just cleaned the water out of the injectors all by itelf when you ran it w/ clean fuel ? wow, what an amazing thing. ..... who could have imagined THAT was possible...
