Default Mercruiser Tunderbolt distributor

I have no spark on one of my 454 mags. I swapped the amplifier
and coil from one engine to the other. Still no spark in the problem one, I assume it is the distributor,i.e. the magnetic pick up sensor. All of the parts I removed work fine on the other engine. Anyone have one of these
that they would be willing to sell?
Thanks for the time.
Quikdecision.

Swap distributors and see if it follows....
If you still need one i have one that a "buddy" had me buy for him thinking he needed one and turned out it was a bad cyl in the motor so now i have this collecting dust! If you want it you can have it for what i paid for it $60 + shipping.... Its complete with the cap too...i have no use for it

$60.00 is the standard merc price for a new pickup. there is a procedure for testing the system.

I chased the similar problem this weekend. Ended up being a broken wire coming out of the distributor and into the loom. If I recall they are both tan one with a red stripe and one with a blue. Use a ohm meter/volt meter and check them both with the key on and compare it to your other motor. Mine also had a fuse coming off the starter up into the loom.

Check for 12v on the + side of the coil (purple wire) with the key on.

Hey Everybody....
Thank you so much for your responses.
I ohmed out the wires on the distributor, just as TSSTEPH had suggested. I had a broken wire. I took pics, too late to load tonight.
Thanks again everyone.
