Default fuel gauge woes

i have livorsi gauges, when my boat is on the trailer it reads (i belive a little low, which is good) but on the water it just constantly stays full, whether at idle or on plane and even if i trim it bow down, just constantly reads full. anyone have any ideas?

The ground on the tank sender is probably corroded or loose or the ground from the fuel guage has a short.
