Default Thermostat issue?

Not sure if I actually have a problem or if I am overthinking it.

I have a pair of 350 mags in my 292 and the port engine runs just fine but the temp will come up to 180 and only drop off maybe 5-10 degrees when the thermostat opens.

The starboard side will come up to 180 and drop back to 160 when when the thermostat opens.

I have switched sending units, 2 thermostats and put new impeller in the port side but it just does not drop off like the other.

Like I said, both run great, neither overheat or anything but I am wondering if I am missing something or worrying about it for nothing.

Any other ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

check for debris at the oil cooler ... could be restricting flow making it run slightly warmer .. could be a piece from an old impeller or just debris you have picked up ...m
