Personally, I would start over. You really need more cubic inches. If you are making say 2 hp / ci. than it stands to reason that more inches will make more power, assuming the engines are the same. A larger inch engine can make the same power easier. That is the reason I use a 598" to build the vast majority of my engines. You are going to need a different supercharger and you should go to efi with that much power for the tunability. Your not going to be able to make 1200 hp with a roots blower and carbs on pump gas.
