20,000rpm will produce nearly 30psi on 600ci motors with Pro1 heads. This equals 8 high dollar ash trays.

It was a great time and really great meeting you , just think if my cart had whipples on it [/QUOTE]

Well if your cart had Whipple's, it clearly would run slower but show more power on the dyno! LOL Well be catching up when I come to Mark's, you guys get to show me around New Orleans, just remember I'm just a rookie

2 How much faster 40 Skater drysump 1:35 props 16.5x 38 1200hp c&c mercs. Hull rig weight with 100 gals fuel / under 10,000#s and a X height of 3.25"

I wish Bill,Jim,AJ and anyone else who has installed either SC would pipe up with a speed increase.

3 RunningHot posted he would dyno his set up when complete. I would like to see a comparison in real live conditions. Run my hull like its set up make the sc changes and lets see what the increase in rpm and speed is gained. This would equal your Dollar per mph gain.

4 example Spent 12k to dry sump my drives, picked up 6 mph which merc claims the dry sumps are worth 85 hp. If I see even 100 hp gain this should come close to 8mph or 200hp gain should give me 15mph right inline with Skaters #s from the factory. 2k per mph gain.

What ya think
If ya get tired of my questions let me know!!

1. Gotta have a boost number, what current SC has. Also, what size IC, can only pass so much air through some of these single core IC's. What duration on cam? What heads, what manifold? If you want accurate number, need far more data.

2. I don't design boats, nor do I know the cabability of your 40. But again, need more data to give you an estimate. First, what RPM/Speed are you running with 1.35 and 38' props?

3. Not sure what this question is. I agree, it would be nice to see mph vs. power difference vs. dollar spent.

4. Sounds pretty good, but at higher speeds, its not a 1:1 ratio or 2:1, when getting into speeds over 150mph, many other things come into factor and its not always about hp, although it certainly helps. So if it picked up 6, it doesn't mean another 85hp would get you 6 more. It should be close, but, you have everything else working against you at those speeds.

The Kramer 388 Skater has Teague 1200EFI's with our W305ax superchargers. The boat is built for Lake Tahoe, 6500ft and has the same pulley's as sea level, negating 3-4psi of boost @ Tahoe. Therefore it's prop/gear combo is setup for just that.

I didn't dyno the motors, but when we dyno, we use the proper correction factor. By the way, instead of correction factor, you should mention "cali" gasoline, just about the worse in the 50 US states. And the motors do make 1200hp, actually a touch more.

We did, we had the 9.8 liter male driven supercharger. We built what we felt would still be manageable in multiple applications.

Ya, have fun with distribution! And I think HP already went down that route. Also, better order now, only takes 3 months to get them, and if you need a part after, just make sure to make plans for breakage 3 months in advance!
