I know of one builder who just made 1360hp @ 12.5psi of boost, 93 octane, pump gas, 604ci, no methanol, expecting 1450 with methanol injection. Whipples made 200+ hp more than 1471 with 2.5 less psi. Thats by far the most I've seen for a performance engine. Requires big chief style heads.
Just curious. I know Mark did back to back on a roots vs. a 5 liter. Was that your engines AJ? |

Jim Lee slowed down after installing 5.0s and is now running PSIs. Like I stated 20gs give me something in writing that with 400hp gain I will see at least 15+ mph or take them back. He had 10s and after the dyno it has run all year with no trouble better idle much more acceleration and more top end. We made 100 more hp over the 10 @ the same boost. we made the same hp as the 10 with 3 less # boost. It made 1250 hp with 12.5 psi on a 565 inch engine 6400 rpm. Joey Griffen did back to back on frank L eng and gained 85 hp same boost over blower shop 14/71.
