Thanks DareDevil, I appreciate the offer but I've already been in contact with Kirk @ Elite and I believe he can accomodate the overall packaging with a gauge.

What is the latest on the sensor Trippin?

Looks like this is a dead duck.

Rage, I think if you look back you'll see the stainless senders are available for $14. each. I have a pair of the thru hull fittings and a pair of new black face gauges. A 2 strand wire and heat shrink would give you a set. Check the swap shop for Another Garage Sale. I have them there. I guess he's keeping those 300 sets for himself?

I guess you know by now that the Gaffrig sensor is not stainless but chrome plated brass. I learned that today when I tried a threading die on it. The sensor actually bent during the process. When I tried to straighten it it seperated at the threads. The Gaffrig sensor's brass body is thinner walled than the Livorsi oil temperature sensor and will not tolerate the 1/4-28 thread.

I purchased one of the Gaffrig 2 wire sensors for $14. It is chrome plated brass not stainless and too thin for the thread that the Bravo uses. I do not want to modify the Bravo case threads.

I bought all the parts from the company that was supplying Livorsi with them. I have parts to fix 378 of them.

These are the sensors electrical component only w/o stainless case.

Thanks for the input guys, it appears that I may have a patent infringment problem as posted above. Hmmm.

Only if the patent has been maintained....It might've expired leaving you open to take over the idea and patent it yourself. Follow up by doing a patent search.

I will take a look at it in the next couple of days and see if I can shed some light on it for you. I'm flying out in a couple of hours and don't have the time right now. I'm not a patent atty, but I could probably play one on tv. I have many patents and have worked closely with or for patent attys (infringement / claims analysis) for years. patent law is a funny thing, and not always intuitive until you really understand the statutes and case law. If it is close, you may want to pay an atty for an opinion on whether or not your product infringes on an existing patent - but that can get relatively expensive in a hurry if you're not really careful or if it is a complicated situation. Chances are that even if it is close, it's not ever going to represent enough of a revenue stream to warrant the expense someone would incur filing a lawsuit...

pm me it I forget or don't get back to it in short order - chances are that I'm goig to take some online mental breaks from the family over the next week or so.

Happy Holidays, Cheers!

Best to give waconda aka John aka the Bravo Shop a call. He posted about $250 on another site, but said that also depends on what guage you need.

John @ The Bravo shop would be your best bet since he makes them.

I found a sensor only with no gauge on their site and it seems a little pricey..... http://www.bravoshop.net/index.php?m...gauge&x=8&y=11
