I was in the same situation as you last spring. Bottom or engine was in good condition and did not want to spend more money for no reason. I worked with Bob at Marine Kinetics. He has mastered HP500 upgrades. I went with AFR 315 CNC heads ported and milled to 114cc chamber. Custom cam that Bob picked out. Willie's 850 cfm carb and Keith Eickert exhaust manifolds. PM me if you would like more info.

What kind of power did you see? I already have a the cam. I am gonna get some heads just not sure of what yet. The OSO community seems to go with AFR.Does any one run Brodix heads. Should i change stock pistons and carb or leave it alone?

You could have your carb modified for your new componets. I found it was going to cost within a few hundred to get mine modified compared to purchasing a new one and selling the other. I am running the stock pistons and rods. Rods were fitted with better bolts. Do a search on OSO for Bob Madera or Marine Kenitics. He is the guy you should talk with.

Thanks,
