Good question, when I originally switched to MPI from Carb I taped a 19mm tread in one of the exhaust ports on the exhaust manafold. If you do this make sure not to hit a water jacket. I did not have good luck with that setup, the O2 sensors did not last. When I switched to EMI exhaust I had them tap threads in each of the exhaust risers. It must be a dry location. My last set of O2 sensors have lasted 3 years so far.
