Default NEED Mashine shop help !!!!!!!!!!

I need 8 studs ,grade 8 steel in half inch and 2-1/2 inches long with both sides corse thread (1inch each side) .

Cant find them any where ?!

If its not for head studs, How about all thread. Its pretty tough.

What size threads? ARP should make them. If not I will check somewhere else for you.

It needs to be both sides threadet and an1/2 ich in the center flat,,,getting bolted thru Aluminum at that spot !!!!!

Its for a Gimbal on a #5 ....and merc has them in stock for ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,unbelieveble $ 77 ,50 each !!!!!

I thought someone could help me for about 10 bucks each ?!
They are the short ones that mount the Gimbal to an Extension Box !!!!

DareDevil - how many do you need? Also, are you sure you want steel, and not stainless? We probably have what you need depending on the quantity, but they will be coarse one end and fine the other - OEM Mercury. I will look tomorrow.

I need 8 of them,,,,,,but yes they are grade 8 steel .
Stainless will not take the abuse on a #5 at the gimbal.
If you got 8 locknuts in stainless for the finethread ,,that be cool also .

But i will not pay merc prices at 77 bucks each ,just for the stud. They are out of there mind. LOL

Im in the machine shop business. You need a rolled thread thread not a turned thread. I can turn them from 4140 or 4150chrome moly. A cut thread isnt as strong as a rolled thread. I can only cut the threads. Theres a shop that rolls studs in town. Ill check to see if their still in business.|
