Default cam selection procharged carb 454mag

rebuilding 1995 gen5 454mag .030over for the 4th time the first two rebuilds were back to back from a reputable builder suggested by ProchargerIt pulled 590hp,620ftlbs@5000rpms...@6psi of boost.Early pushrod, lifter and wiped out lobes occured both times 5-10hrs normal run time after install ,oil pressure monitored constantly , the builder scratching his head saying it would have burned up on his dyno had he done something wrong each build.Third build done at different shop,. cam with Rhodes lifters, pushrods replaced. spring heights pressures ok.New rings bearings installed all specs rechecked everything OK.This year it ran ok but would like more power and have it capable of pulling 500hp without the blower and 0ver 600hp @4lbs boost with the procharger.Id like to install a more agressive cam than the lunati 30299 custom grind that im running but I need to keep my silent choice and I'm worried about water reversion, what cam and manifold do you reccomend, also (midrange is important 2500-3500rpms)I have the (procharger recomended) modified holley 650dp, GIL exhaust, boost indexed fuel pressure (Pistons always black) plugs look good.SRP 14cc pistons ,118cc rect port stock heads with inconel valves I think this equates to 9.5:1 Also think I'm going to .060 over due to cylinder scoring and blow by. I dont have the money to spend on new heads so was hoping someone could give me a good cam/manifold combo to achieve my goal ...Thanks

the issue you are having is wide spread, it's not your engine builder, it's the oil we get now...you need oil additives with zinc and other chemicals to keep from wiping flat tappet cams, best thing to do at this point it go to a hyd roller, problem solved...Rob
