I am going to have new valves put in. He wants to use 2" in/ 1.9" ex. Does this make sense?

change the rods to 7/16", forged pistons, flat top piston 9.0-9.5 comp, hyd cam and new manifolds (looking for some takeoffs)

should I still pocket port the heads?

Absolutely!!! I thought that is what you originally called him for! (???)

Also, I think you mean 2.19" intake valves and 1.85" or 1.88" exhaust valves. (whatever size exhaust valve flows better on that head)

For that power level don't need the bigger rods, forged crank or 4 bolt mains.....

thanks My builder already has a forged crank and mine is cracked. we are using a 2 bolt main and not a big deal going to the bigger rods
