Default Transmission Temp

Went out with friends who own little Tom Cat this weekend, fantastic time on the bay. Boat runs great. Question came up, what temperature should the transmissions run? They are Huber 1500s turning #6s.

thanks
Shawn

Be on the safe side and call Tom. I have the Huber 925's and he said the oil going through my stock coolers in the bell housing would be way to cool because of the internal work and added clutches. They need to be up around 180*-190*, so I just installed thermostats. Tom told me to go out and put a good run on the boat and then stick a meat probe or some other temp. divise to get the reading down in the oil, but I just went ahead and put the thermotats on them anyway. Good Luck Doug
