Starter,
gear drive the cam ( cam and dist/oil pump still need
to turn l/h),
water pump,
piston pin offset ( notch will face rear instead of the front
of the engine)

And I'm thinking there's something different with the front
and rear seals.

that's about all I can think of now.

ok so on a boat with older arnesons wouldnt it be easier to rig it so that one tranny is always running in reverse, then to build an engine that is counter-rotating??????

I'm pretty sure the trans can only rotate one way(for normal use). Wouldn't the change be made in the drive itself (gear placement, type ???)

you couldnt get an old arneson as a counter-rotating drive so therefore all the old arneson boats had counter-rotating motors

U would need a special tranny, the clutchplates are only forward in them for the revers they only have 2 i Think.

They would burn up in 3 min.

Trusst me i know !

I actually think they used somesort of gesrdrive trannys , since they are way lower on the transom then the engine and the counter rotating on just spun backwarts.
