OK thanks again griff, i will replace cams, lifters, chains & gears, heads i will cut, new valves, springs ,guides ,locks retainers, seals and all new gaskets. what about my gold crane rockers ??? and push rods.

I would probably reuse the rockers after inspecting them very well. They shouldn't have any lubrication issues with the way the engines were maintained. Also, the risk is not nearly as high if a rocker goes bad compared to a lifter.
